I've ran BBK longtubes before and have no complaints, but thinking about going a little cheaper if I can without sacrificing too much quality. Also, I will not be running a mid pipe so the 3-bolt collector is ok. The car is going to be track only so I'll leave it open header for now. Summit has them for $288 compared to BBK ceramic coated at $449. Anyone have any fitment/quality issues with Flowtech?

I'm usually not one to discourage people from buying lower priced parts, except when it comes to Flowtech headers. Flowtech headers are garbage for fitment. I had a set and quickly got rid of them. Don't waste your money on them.

Flowtech are junk (I heard) but if your in a budget run them and see if they are any good

Thanks guys, I'm not really on a budget, but when I saw the price difference for ceramic coated headers and saw how cheap the Flowtechs were I thought they might be a good buy...too good to be true lol. Looks like I'll just go with the chrome BBK 1 5/8 again and call it a day.

Have never used them on a foxbody, but i've got an engine here in the shop we are almost done with that has them. This is a 2V though. Had BBK ceramics, but because this setup has a TCI Race Built Auto, the clearance on the passenger side flange at the collector was hitting on the trans pan. Most importantly, the 02 bungs were welded on the inner side of the collector with no way to fit. The Flowtech was the only set that mounts the 02's in a position to clear. Again, this is on a Modular 2V.

Dont do it.....
I remember on my 1st fox I bought a set of them and had to remove the steering shaft and run it threw the headers.. biggest pain in the ass....go w bbk

Why not try MAC? They tuck closer to the body than the BBKs and they don't have the one piece flange which I think is better but I know some people are going to disagree on that with me

I only run kooks, when i cant use them i will use Macs. my first longtubes on my ls1 were flowtech and they were literally the biggest piece of shit header EVER.

I swapped my Flowtechs out for MAC's. While it's not the most perfect header, the MAC's are very good and priced affordably.

my flowtechs out of the box fit great, I no longer have them as my current setup wont allow them to fit.
although they fit great, they seemed to hang a little bit lower then other brands and buy them raw if you can and take them to sanderson for the ceramic coating ( they told me last goodguys roughly $200 a set for LT's) the stuff they use at flowtech is garbage the coating lasted maybe 16 months before starting to peel.
SS headers for the win always.
