Do you do alot of road racing or something? If your upgrading the stocks, you can get hawk, or ebc pads with drilled and slotted rotors, and put some synthetic dot 4 fluid in it. If you wanna go bigger there is brembos, wilwood, and ssbc.

Dont race, just want bigger brakes, i already have stock sized drilled & slotted, what is the best out of those 3 brands you mentioned?

Go with the 2000 cobra R brake upgrade. 4 piston brembo and comes with SS Lines and slotted rotors. I ran that setup on my old 03 cobra vert. They worked Great.

I used to have Stoptechs on my racecar. Two piece rotors, 4 piston calipers. Way overkill for a street car. Keep in mind that aftermarket brake kits won't stop the car any faster than cobra brakes will, but they will do it over and over and over from high speed without any fade or change in brake pedal feel. If you want the big brake look I'd go with Wilwood or Stoptech, the Cobra Brembos are not that much bigger than the stock Cobras.

Best advice here. I'm at the limits of my stock C5Z brakes with the most aggressive pads available, now I'd have to go aftermarket BBK to sustain the repeated stops.
For a street vehicle, get aggressive pads and stainless lines and you'll notice a nice difference. Blank rotors are fine for street duty, slots just look "fancy".

For pads that will give you a good solid stop go with a Hawk HP+. These will dust a bit more, but give you a solid still street able brake setup. If dust is a problem just get a set of Hawk HPS pads. But the lines are a must.

Much much better calipers. You gaining 4 piston vs 2 on the cobra. Both can have SS lines. If you dont have plans for more power like 400hp plus. Then you can get away with the stock cobra brakes with pads and SS. But the stock cobra brakes were never designed to have 400hp plus on a 3500lb plus car. In fact the termy came with weak brakes for the power and weight they had.
