I was reading the ad, & the seller said "everything in the rear has rubber bushings. I wanted a smooth ride."..... I feel him on that, maybe this car was built to drive, not to race? I for one know how much a fully built, badass aftermarket suspension can ruin the street ride quality of a car. I had the full MM kit in my Mach & yeah it handled great, & the quality of the parts were top notch, but it rode like a shopping cart on the street. Never again, no thank you! Stock k member FTW on a street car! [/qb]
LOL, I have full MM suspension my car rides just as smooth as it was when I bought it with the orginal racecraft suspension (california edition) maybe slightly more firm due to my spring rate. And if that guy with the 750hp fox tried to get on it thru the gears he'd have one hell of a time keeping it on the road. soft rubber suspension and 750hp don't really perform well together. That's not how you build a 750hp car, that's a death trap. [/qb]
I dunno. Mine rode too stiff IMO, & I didn't have stiff spring rates. I think like 325 up front, 225 in the rear (give or take). I had the full front end swap with Delrin bushings, & in the rear phb, & extreme duty LCA's. Only thing I hadn't installed was the rear torque arm, but it was sitting on my garage floor waiting to be Installed when I sold the car. Ride quality is a subjective thing, one car might ride smooth to someone, but ride like trash to another. & you gotta admit that the car is much noisier over bumps with the tubular K installed, this is a known fact. That being said, I ONLY buy MM suspension made parts for my Stang. But this time around, I will not be doing a K member swap in my Fox. Coil overs, & adjustable LCA's are good enough for now, but then again I don't road race my car, so it's not needed. If I ever did do a tubular k swap again, it would be mm all the way, but with poly bushings instead of Delrin. I'm fine with my factory k though. [/qb]
I do agree that ride quality is subjective but I suspect your harshness was from your spring rate. mike croutcher the driver @ mm told me to run a 250lb spring rate up front and torque-arm spring rear but I opted for the 275 lb with my bilsteins wich is the most you wana go with on the street as I was told [/qb]
See & all these years I listened to the MM techs when I would call over there. They told me 325lb was a mild street spring, it felt pretty stiff to me, but not harsh. You could be right? I have those same 325 coilovers on the front of my fox currently & they aren't bad, & I also had them on the Mach before I did the k member swap, & I know they rode better then the h&r super sports they replaced. [/qb]
Im not 100% that's why but I also read you were running the derlin, im running poly, I did notice slight noise up front but it doesn't feel harsh over bumps [/QB]
