What should I use to edit videos from a gopro. I got a pc. Also do I need to convert the file formats or can I just edit the format it records in?

I used to edit my gopro videos on a Kodak software I got for free when I bought a Kodak zi-8 handheld recorder. It was good enough for me but I'm sure there are better ones out there. This was on a PC.

I heard the GoPro comes with pretty good editing software. The best software to edit with with Adobe Premier
