Smaller then 19/23, carry a good amount of rounds, great backup gun, will work better if you don't have huge hands, 26 is your 9 mikemike and the 27 is .40! I love Glock.

I love Glocks. I've carried and owned both Glocks and Sigs. Originally, I was Sig guy and hated Glocks, but that was because I was unfamiliar with them. Currently, I carry a Glock 23 and gen 4 Glock 27. For me, I am more accurate with my Glocks. [ February 11, 2012, 05:14 PM: Message edited by: rgtrahn ]

I have a Springfield 1911 TRP. This is my primary gun. But since this thread is regarding Glock. I have the Glock 23. Im a .40 cal and above fan. The 23 IMO is a great gun for its size and caliber. I goes with preference. But glock in general is a great gun. But if you can go 1911...then I can't argue that...1911 is the best....AMERICAN OG! Lol

Not a fan of the Glocks square grip (specially because I have smaller hands). Favorite pistols to shoot are Sig P226 and S&W MP40.

If you are stuck on 9mm and want something that small then yeah the 26 but also check out the 19. Not too much bigger and a bit better ergonomics.
Sig 229 is a smaller version of the 226 but pricey!
And I'm not sure if this is your first weapon but in my 20+ years of shooting owning and carrying weapons I NEVER EVER recommend a 1911 as a first gun although everyone loves them, I sold a 1911 a couple weeks ago within 15 minutes of posting it for sale! Give me a 21 in .45 ACP anyday of the week. The 10mm never caught on for a reason. When the FBI screams help and leads S&W to create the .40 that says something.

if you are stuck on those two def. buy the 9mm model simply because follow up shots will be faster. I'm assuming your buying one of these for protection right? couldnt see any other reason to buy a super compact pistol.

I use to own the Glock 26, great gun. Never had any failures with it. Always reliable.
