I really want a 1911 style .45, but at the same time im already familiar with the Beretta style .40 and love the way the Beretta feels and shoots!!! Hey Chris perhaps sometime we could hook up and blast some rounds or just put up some pics of what your .45 looks like. [/qb]
if your on a budget not sure if they are CA approved yet but the para ordnance G.I. goes for about $600 msrp and is a quality unit. match grade 5" barrel and i think it will be hard to beat in the under $1000.00 1911 category. by the way a .45 will thump pretty good and a lot of recoil will be soaked up due to the weight of the pistol. and will be softer then its polymer/metal competition such as sig, glock,hk,smith, springfield. i know your not a fan of glock but i did shoot a glock 21c which is the full size .45 with a ported barrel and it was very managable! [/qb]
Good info, as for price range i didnt really want to spend over $8-900 for a .45. [/qb]
buddy of mine just got one of the base model kimber 1911's for a little under $1000 otd at the vallejo gun shop "triple A sporting goods" this was about a month ago. [/QB]
