King cobra clutch is hard and it sucks big time hate it. Centerforce for sure. It was taking 5k+ launches and gripped good. Had the cobra clutch twice shit blew up both times.

i had a centerforce dfx before and it felt like there was no pedal lol shit didnt even last 900 miles and was all tore up when we took it down. The guy from centerforce told me to send it in that he has yet to see one do what mine did so....my vote goes out for a spec 3+ for the win! only cause i had a bad experience with the dfx clutch forgot to add that my 88 coupe has a spec 3 in it...when we took the other motor out and put the new one in there was only about a 1/16 maybe an 1/8 clutch left took it to the track and launching it at 6k and was hooking up good [ July 08, 2011, 12:22 AM: Message edited by: 96mysticman ]

have a king cobra in my `97 with the MM clutch quadrent/fwa kit and it feels softer than stock, and has never slipped. 4 years in the car.
5 years on a spec stage2 in my `89, same MM clutch quadrent/fwa kit, much harder pedal, and grabs more like an on/off switch. [ July 08, 2011, 12:22 AM: Message edited by: Blind ]

If you're gonna beat on it get the Centerforce DF, if it's just gonna be a driver go with the King Cobra. My experience with King Cobra clutches are so so..they don't last too long if you like to get on it and launch every now and then. Just my experience, good luck

You come by house, I have three Mustangs with Centerforce clutches In them, if you want to feel what the pedal is like, also I smoked a Spec stage 2 clutch on the dyno with only 417RWHP.

I've had both and would definitely take the Centerforce over the King Cobra. Spend the few extra bucks and don't look back.
