Originally posted by blkfoxbody89: [QB] I can for the trans being in nothing less than perfect working order, the car it came out of was in great shape, map light worked, ash tray door worked and every thing was stock except flows, shorties, and a shift kit. The car belonged to his girl, he bought it from a guy that had everything professionally installed, headers cost the guy 700 parts and installation. Lol... His girl had the car for 3 months or so I dont remember exactly, it was her baby. But sadly she wrecked the front end and was devastated. The car was driven about 10 miles back to the house on it's own power. mechanically the car was sound, but cosmetically the car was done. I actually used the motor in my car to smog it and rocked it around for 4 months, the motor was in impressive shape, I took it to the track once with my 5 speed, headers, pullies, hf cats, full weight and 355 gears I got a 13.9 at 101 on street tires. So if the trans was in the same fresh working unmolested condition than I am sure you were just the victim of the notoriously ticking time bomb reputation of a ford 5l aod mustang transmission. Pm me if you feel necessary but I know he was not out to screw you. And as for the constant contact with you.. That's just the kind of guy he is. He probably wanted to hear how happy you were about you getting a great deal on a sweet lil aod. But unfortunately that was not the outcome.. [/QB]
