My friend purchased a car and never registered it in his name. He bought a new car so gave me the car for a commuter. He lost the tittle the guy gave to him in the process. And doesn't remember the last owner that sold it to Him almost a year ago. How do I get this car registered in my name

Just fo down to the DMV and ask them. I was able to register an old dune buggy that had been sitting in an abandoned house. They giv you all the paperwork that you need. As long as it's not reported stolen, you can get it registered in CA.

you can get a bond for the car.. i had to do this on my 77 mustang 2.. i had like 5-6 bill of sales going back to 03.. but no one got it put in thier name.. so when i went to dmv and couldn't get ahold of the last reg'd owner, i had to get a bond on the title from farmers. it cost me $100 for the bond.
