i randomly found this thread while googling. it turned out to be a pretty good read. has anyone ever done anything like him to pick up a car?
i've driven down to LA two consecutive weekends before to first look at the car then the following week to cash the guy out.

I've driven to LA on no fewer than 5 occasions for Cobra parts/cars. My 10 y.o. son was riding shotgun with me each time. Nothing like it.
I'd be damned if I'd take a bus to pick up a car though.

Shit dats nuthing, my and my girl drove to san diego to get her 86 from a second owner, only had 66k and was bone stock, Garaged, all maintence reciepts, no stains tears or donuts done in the car, was owned by old men as a weekend beach car.
Its was an 8hr plus drive.
Well worth it.

I flew to Texas and drove my Cobra home. I had a 4 hour layover in Colorado, stayed up for almost 46 hours and drove 2000 miles myself.
