K my buddy is coming back home from leave and is going to buy this 2003 GT automatic mustang. So he is already calling me out I never raced and modular type mustangs. His car will be bone stock with a automatic trans.
This is what I got - BBK equal length headers - Bassani Offroad x pipe - 65mm TB - Mac fenderwall cold air 73mm mass air - Edelbrock performer rpm upper in lower intake - A/C deleted by bypassed smog pump - T5z trans with centerforce clutch - recently rebuilt rear end with 3:73 gears
how will I do agaisnt him? curious cuz i know my car is heavier.....

Yea, i think the 03 is going to win also, the cars probably run about the same, but his is automatic so he's probably going to take off without burning rubber.

In this rain, a four banger is sure to win. The four cylinders wont spin their tires. Go for a Civic.

I dunno about from a dig But from a roll you should deffinantly get him... My 88 non-mass air Ex-Chp 5-speed is all stock except for 3.27s in the rear,a k&n filter, MSD Cap/rotor/wires and blaster coil, With an offroad H-pipe into 40-series flows, and the 5-Lug conv. And with a stock latemodel gt fivespeed im about side by side from a dig and just walk away from a roll...

Also I got some underdrive pullies on there which is not really gonna be deciding factor of the race but just putting it out there for what I forgot on the mod list. Also by the time he down here I might have a aluminum driveline in cuz amything over 80 I'm getting vibrations due to the gears.....

As long as He does'nt put length's on You off the line You should handle Him. If You want to put a hurt on Him then I would take the money that You are going to put down for the pulley's & driveshaft and add a few buck's to get a set of used gt40 iron head's. I have seen a few going around for 300-400 buck's, then You will pwn Him . [ December 22, 2008, 12:37 AM: Message edited by: SmokinLX ]
