[/qb]
Actually throughout the years the times very. I have a book at home that shows all the years with different combo's (Power windows or manual, 5spd or auto, hatch, coupe, or vert, a/c or no factory air, SD or MA). I remember reading they had a '87 speed density coupe with no factory air, no power options, with air silencer removed doing a 13.4@101mph. [/qb]
That was probably Tony DeFeo of Cars Illustrated (the best car magazine ever, period). He bought an '87 (no option, hatchback, 3.08) and ran a best 13.7 right off the showroom floor. With timing, tire pressure, iced intake, etc...he got down to 13.4 on crappy Gatorbacks. It wasn't a one time thing either, it was consistent. But, that doesn't mean everyone with a stock 5.0 can brag their cars run 13s. [/QB]
