can anyone recommend a machine shop in the San Jose or Sacramento area? Preferrably one with experience with modular blocks. Thanks!

If you're in Elk Grove you will not find anyone that knows more about small block Fords than Rick at Crackaway in Elk Grove. When you walk in the walls are covered in poloroids and magazine articles of engines that he's done. He worked with Jack Roush in the mid-90's to develop 4.6's to see what kind of power they could make. A few of my friends had 347's and 383's built by him and they dyno'd 40-50 hp over what he said they would.

Just went to Daves today and they have done a ton of mod motors and they are doing up 5 right now. Great peeps to work with they get my vote! If fact one of the peeps on this board is bringing his motor to Daves this week and this peep is from Sac too. So if your motor needs a ride to Daves I'm sure it can be arranged.
