The S197 Mustang recently redesigned by Chip Foose and named the "Stallion" will enter production in 2006 with 3,000 produced at an MSRP of around $38,000. Here is the whole story:

i hate when they do that, now ppl with money is just gonna go and buy those, instead of buying a gt or cobra and building it their own way.... plus it makes it harder for ppl that likes to build their own car... now they have to compete with cars like the stallion

what makes it different then a saleen or roush??? Its the same concept, they buy the cars then modify them and then sell them as a special addition. Dont hate on foose for trying to get into the game with the big boys.

i remember seeing it on overhaulin but i don't remeber if it was really faster than the stock gt...im not sure ..foose just modded it his way...so i understand the diferent perspectives on building your own car ...it would probably make more sense to buy the new car and mod it yourself ..instead of buying the stallion..

Billet grills?? Come on, is this a muscle car or a 90's show truck?? That look is very dated.

Yea, I also think it looks really good. I think 18s would be a little better though.

for that price you might as well spend a few more thousand and get a shelby(assuming the hype dies down and the car is sold around msrp).

I think the car looks pretty tight. Not sure it's worth 38K for only 25 more hp than a stock GT.

The difference is Saleen is not a tuner car and is listed in NADA.

some people have different priorities. I'd rather have one like that that looks different than all the others, without just being a bodykit/paintjob kinda thing. especially with how many new stangs are on the road now. and you could say "I have a 1 of 3,000 car"
that grille is hella ugly though [ February 09, 2006, 07:43 PM: Message edited by: z pyro ]

do all the upgrades and modifications of the stallion justify its price? imho, not really. but when you think about how the average car buyer is more concerned with the looks than with its performance, throw in the foose name, and a nice looking s197, you have a winner.

True its way overpriced for just basically a dressed up GT. But it does look better than a stock one, and Foose is just bad ass!
