If you pay $14k for a Busa, you're getting royally fucked. MSRP is $11,099. I've seen people ride off with new '04 models for $10.5 OTD.

i'm not too inclined on bikes, but if you had a 200lb guy riding a busa and a 200lb guy riding a 06 R1, which would win? just curious.

not faster than a busa not 1/4 mile anyway ( which is all they are really built for) the 06 busa's havent been let out yet.. i been told and believe its because kawasukee came out with a zx-14 ( i think, maybe its a 13) and dubbed it the busa killer.. well suzuki cant let that fly so ive been told the 06's will be STUPID fast and be a new platform coming in at 12.5k-13.3k.

unless you learn as fast as Neo and Trinity, there are cheaper forms of suicide than a busa as a first bike

i want to get a bike too and all my friends that have experience on them tell me to start out small power wise, because it's not like you won't crash, it's only a matter of time.

If you've never ridden before Dana, don't get a Busa. They're crap man. You can have way more fun on a 600, especially up where you're at now than on a Busa. Plus you can get a nice '02 used for half the price of a Busa.

I like the look of the Busa. I would take that chinese writting off though if i got one.
I was also considering getting a Harley Sportster.

A busa is not built for only a quater mile run. The plastics on a busa are designed specifically for it to be more aerodynamic and stable at incredibly high speeds. It is the FASTEST major production bike on 2 wheels, 1/4 mile, top speed, 60-80mph roll on and the 0-150mph acceleration. I ride a Hond 954RR with a lot of mods and it still does not feel as fast a busa. It is a scary bike in terms of sheer acceleration. I ride my friends busa a lot and it will accelerate no matter what speed or gear. Its flat out awesome. Handling is so so, brakes are ok. Its more of a sport tourning bike in my opinion. Good for commuting and the occasional flat out run. They top out somewhere in the low 190's in top speed witch is freakin crazy for a bike.
