Jeesh, I just read another Hurricane (Rita) is headed towards Florida . What the hell is going with that part of Globe. It seems like a HUGE hazard to live in such a place. I was just wondering why people live down there if it is such a high risk area. I would never want to live in a place where hurricanes are destroying everything around me. I mean what the hell do people do once their houses and lives are destroyed? Do they go ahead and buy another house in the same area? If that was me I say It's time to get the hell of out of dodge. What do you think?

it's the way it is...always has been always will be.
people from florida say the same thing about californians.
"i'd never live w/ earthquakes"
"how can those people live on a hill, then it rains, washes their house down the hill, and they rebuild...are they crazy ?? "

Big Earthquakes don't happen as often as huge Hurricanes though. I think i read that 5 hurricanes hit that part of the US a year.
