Most foxes that I have seen on carlots came from auctions and have been beat. I was looking a while back and found a few but most had shit $200 paint jobs and new carpet for the 5k range. If he wants to get financed and is looking to a dealer for it he's going to get screwed. A bank wont do much to finance an older Mustang and some dealers will but for 19% or higher making the car cost 20k by the time its paid off. His best bet is looking on Craigslist or on message boards.

The mileage on the Carfax looks a little funny. The car had what appears to be 133K on it by 12/2001 and then next registered mileage looks like 134K by 3/2005. Either car sat and wasn't driven in over 3 years or the car was driven a ton and the actual mileage on it now is 239K. Also, according to Carfax, the car already had 129K on it back in 5/1996. I'm betting the car really has 239K. I doubt that car only had 10K put on it in 10 years.

Sorry about that. I guess I'm having some computer problems. I kept getting an error page and I didn't think that it was posting my reply.

It's a little pricey for a what seems to be stock 5.0, and it has an LX body kit and I think it said it was a GT. That CARFAX is pretty cool, but he just asked about a FOX at a car lot and I saw this one, its up to him to figure out if he wants it. Good looking out with the details though.

Not really sure if it's too late, but it has the dreaded CFI system. So it's an auto, but damn clean car though. been awhile that it's been there, but try calling.

I looked at it odometer read 00468.9. seats looked like shit. body was somewhat wavy. the guy that showed me the car said the tranny was blown. that was at 1:30pm today. oil pan had a drip. I would have paid $500.

It was a capri "gs"

would still make a good display, or something till you get a tranny for it though, hehe.

Yea I talked to the dude too, he did say the tranny was blown. Sounded like a pretty nice dude, is the tranny on these things the same as a regular 50? Might be intereseted in doing a t5 swap, I think haulinass has a setup for sale.

Man I just sold all my foxes now I want to get another. [Frown]

Whats the diff between a gcapri GS and a regular one?

Shit, the engine and trans sucked in that year anyway. If its clean enough do a later model engine swap with a T5 and be done with it. You could also use the 83-85 Holley 4V set up to keep from changing it over to FI.
