It seems like a Coyote Swapped Mustang is worth big money but that seems kinda crazy for 450-550hp when you build something or find something with a Dart block or an aftermarket four bolt main block with a blower or turbo for cheaper that makes way more power. Like this one, plus I saw a 95 Cobra with a Coyote swap go for $30K

I think they're worth it in the right platform, I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a 4cyl notch though.

seems like a very clean legit build

I dont think most people are buying them for the power. More like the modern engine that you can dd no problem and make decent #s.

Looks like a legit build. You could buy a lightly used 2011+ 5.0 for the same money this one will likely go for, but you get the best of both worlds with this one. Fox Body with Coyote Powerplant. I would love to put a coyote motor in my fox, but for how much it would cost & then having to get it Reffed through the absurd referees, I would just do what I did and buy a new 11+mustang.

Plus with that you either have to take out a personal loan, put it on a credit card via paypal, or pay cash. I couldnt see banks offering an auto loan on that car unless maybe you had 800+ credit score.

same price warranty vs no warranty. you'd be a fool to take the no warranty.

Why did you not go with the warranty?

Because I bought a partially finished coyote swapped '93 Cobra and it didn't come with a warranty.

Like said above its all about the liability of the motor and being thats its pretty new. I remember many post like this when the 03/04 cobra came out people were doing swaps and selling the cars at this price.

Looks to be worth every penny. That car will sell! Looks like a legit clean well built notch

I know it will sell, I just think its crazy if it had a dart block in it making the same power, same shape car and same drivability, it wouldn't bring the same money

I dont think you can get 400rwhp out of any small ci motor na dart block or not with the same drivability. Its gonna have a cam in it at least and that's what a lot of people dont like. Also the dart block is old technology. It shouldnt be worth as much.

Dart block you can get up to 1100-1200 hp maybe more but there are members here that have dynoed over 1g hp, countless others I know personally who are over the 800 hp club on a dart block, which I think is a more viable option cost wise.

I know a Dart block can hold a ton of power. Im saying building a small ci motor n/a and getting 400rwhp is not going to be as mildly mannered as a coyote motor.

Im saying i dont think you can build a small na ci motor Dart block or not with 400rwhp and have it be as street friendly as a coyote motor. Which is why people are spending so much money on these swap cars.

Id like to see a 302 na with 400rwhp with street manners like a coyote. Youve got some magic then.

It would have to have better internals and stroked and high compression just like the coyote motor.

I think he was talking about keeping it a 302 and still have 400+rwhp Na and streetable

I don't why anybody would want a 302 cubic inch dart block, but if someone wanted to spend $10K plus on a zero balance all billet internal short block, then it might happen, it's all about the money spent on the right parts, but if you went on a $5K budget forged internal 347-363 short block I don't see it being a problem.

While the Coyote is a great motor and very streetable I just wanted MORE !!!!!
This is why I went with a Dart 427 for my build.
I can keep it N/A or boost the hell out of it and call it a day. [burnout]

Right, you mentioned that people pay so much more coyote swaps. All I was saying is because the technology is that much better. Just about 400rwhp out of a stock coyote with 302 cu in. You cant do that with a windsor and have it be streetable.

lol. I make 430whp on a 354ci 8.5:1 blower cam in the .676 range, 91 piss gas, shortie headers, and 2 1/2 exhaust. With a ole tech 4150 carb. Car runs great. Only problems I have with it. 1. don't have ac. 2. I don't have a cage cert. 3. I don't have ac. As you can see. My main problem, is no ac.

I'm sure with the full length headers & 3" exhaust it would put down another 25whp. But I haven't got it back to the dyno.

I wonder what my dart block 331 would have done without boost, it made 566rwhp with 6lbs of boost from a SQ-trim

I think is a better deal than a NA coyote swap and cheaper with a strong A4 block and billet crank, just like what Jeff S has than runs 8.50s

Easy. Mine runs 10.6-7's all day in the heat. With very little whp. With 700. You could go a hell of a lot faster.

Probably around 377rwhp
Lol, SQ-trim with stock pulleys added 250+hp.
That must be the unicorn of the SQ-TRIM chargers that vortech put out.

I dont think you can get 400rwhp out of any small ci motor na dart block or not with the same drivability. Its gonna have a cam in it at least and that's what a lot of people dont like. Also the dart block is old technology. It shouldnt be worth as much.
what are you talking about.
Im saying i dont think you can build a small na ci motor Dart block or not with 400rwhp and have it be as street friendly as a coyote motor. Which is why people are spending so much money on these swap cars.
Yes you can
Id like to see a 302 na with 400rwhp with street manners like a coyote. Youve got some magic then.
It would have to have better internals and stroked and high compression just like the coyote motor.
Right, you mentioned that people pay so much more coyote swaps. All I was saying is because the technology is that much better. Just about 400rwhp out of a stock coyote with 302 cu in. You cant do that with a windsor and have it be streetable.
streetable or smog legal good luck and i am sure mpg would be considerably less.

Easy. Mine runs 10.6-7's all day in the heat. With very little whp. With 700. You could go a hell of a lot faster.
What's the set up? Are u selling? [Big Grin]
Not for sale. Had the car 20 years. It's a 354ci 8.5:1 comp, Custom blower cam shaft, super Vic intake, 850cfm carb and some antique Canfield heads. Also had shortie headers & 2 1/2 exhaust. Anyone could copy it, and make the same numbers.
