I hope he sues this bank and Stockton pd, they called 911 before the suspects left which caused them to take hostages. Absolutely the opposite of what they train bank staff to do. They're supposed to give up the money without a fight because the money is replaceable but the people aren't. Also why the fuck would Stockton pd shoot at a car with hostages? They have a right to fire on someone to protect themselves but at that point they had a chopper in the sky, let them run til they run out of gas. If the woman was doomed to die at least it would have been from the criminals hands, vs being some sort of human shield where she had no chance to survive. At least try to get some sort of negotiation situation. But I guess they went fucking ham on them cause that's what they do out there I guess. All bad

They should hang back and follow, they weren't gonna get away with the chopper in the sky. They were only shooting because they swarmed, I do feel like they had other options instead of going Rambo. They had a fucking hostage

They had a hostage , and they were fleeing in a car. Once they shot the tires out they should have stayed back instead of swarming. I hope all 20 cops on admin leave get fired and the pd get their ass sued. Listen to the gunfire in the video, she had no chance at all.

shit is nothing new, my sister company in stockton is located in the ghetto of stockton near downtown. one day when i was there, there was a high speed chase went buy. the next week across the street there was a big fight with like 8 dudes fighting. hella cops and shit.

All I gotta say its easy to arm chair quarter back the situation, but when boots are on the ground shit is happening fast!

The POS's had the option of not doing this in the first place. No LEO logs on in the morning and says hey Im gonna shoot an innocent victim for the hell of it. Its a tragic situation that could have ended up a lot worse.

The vehicle had to be stopped and it had to be done asap. The POSs had an opurtunity to get away at one point but they choose not to. Instead attempted to gain a vantage point around a semi blind (blocked by brush) exit that makes a sharp 90* turn off the freeway in order to shoot at unsuspecting LEO exiting.

With plenty of shopping centers in the area what if the POSs had decided to drive into a mall and take either more hostages or do a running gun battle???

Im saddened Misty had to perish during the incident but there is nobody else to blame but the POSs. I refuse to use any of the suspects names because I choose not to glorify or memorialize them.

The criminals family didn't pull the trigger, and your a little biased on your position. I might be a little on my end due to where the crime took place but the victim could have been anybody's wife, mom or sister. I'd rather find out they got killed by the criminals hands instead of the cops. They didn't give anybody a chance to negotiate, who knows the criminals would probably have killed her anyways but if it was my wife mom or sister I'd want to have at least a chance to survive. All the criminals did at that point was take a bunch of paper that has no where near the same value as a life.

Fair enough I guess we need more info on all the details, but shit why not let them go. If they stopped to confront the cops then I won't blame them, but you'd think there was more they could have done to protect the hostage.
