Blue water hoses and a oil cooler. They didn't have any performance parts on the motor.

tags on the radiator suport is one way and the pink slip I think says it would be prior police or something like that

if there's no special thing to look for then i guess it makes it easier.

i blew the motor in my 66 coupe the other day and i'm going to check out a motor that the owner claims to be from a ssp. im no expert in engines so what should i be looking for exactly??

other than the obvious, what exactly should i be looking for? how to tell if its a roller or non-roller? which is better?

bro if that motor is out of a SSP that shit prolly has hella miles on it. Do a efi conversion on your 66 . You won't regret it [patriot]

Differences between a civilian 5.0 motor and an SSP 5.0 motor......0,as in none,zero,zilch.Maybe...just maybe the hoses if they werent replaced.Which most were.Keep in mind they didnt sell these thing till they had like 100+k miles on them.Forget the myths, theres no difference. No different tune,no better engine parts, nothing.Except maybe a bunch of holes from all the antennas and equipment, and oh yeah,3.27 gears.

THANK YOU for explaining that there is NO difference! They had oil coolers thats it big deal! I dont know why ppl are so hyped about ssp cars if you think about it they were beat the hell up when in use so why would you even want one! Id rather have a 4 cyl auto car and swap everything imo...
