I can't help but wonder the same thing. The current administration has been in power for 8 years. And let's be honest - they are oil men. So how exactly does the blame fall on Democrats?

Obama is the shit! I mean, lets look at africa that place is rockin! Lets go ahead and toss the white people who made this country and turn it into a shit hole! I typically don't waste my time arguing politics on car websites, but I think the picture at the top is a response to the fact that congress (currently controlled by democrats)are saying "NO" to drilling for oil, nuclear power plants, and coal as means of reducing our current high energy costs. They (Many Democrats) only want quick fixes of renewable resources which currently don't exist in a realistic format to server a huge country such as the U.S. -Sorry that's true.
The majority of Republican senators want to tap in to our natural resources and invest in Nuclear power to ease this economic slump we are in and relieve some burden from the American people. We MAY not see the benefits the next day, but it would lower our costs in the long-term.
Also don't forget that when President Bush gave a speech about a week ago putting greater pressure on Congress to lift the off shore drilling ban, the price of a barrel of oil dropped by about 7 dollars (that quick) during his speech! So other countries (who produce oil) are watching us very closely. If we start using some of our oil, we need less from them, and they'll raise their production and in return lower how much we spend at the pump. ----It's not politics, its the truth.
