I'm having trouble with my t5 going into gear. I change the clutch and the bearing retainer. But once I turn it on the car will not go into gear at all, if the car is off it goes into the gears very smooth. What could be the problem?

Do you have an adjustable cable? Try tightening the cable so the clutch doesn't grab so close to the floor.

Did you put the clutch bearing on correctly that is attached with the clutch fork?

Can you elaborate more on why you can't shift? What happens when you hold down the clutch does it feel strong? Do you have a Short shifter equipped probably needs adjustment? Do you have an after market clutch quadrant or clutch cable that is adjustable that needs adjustment?
