Looking to get a bama sct for my mach1, says 30hp and 35tq. I've never had a tuner but for 400$ I want to know if its really worth it.and if it had any noticeable gains.

I only have off-road h and suspension as far as mods go.going to do the upper intake plennum spacer as well

Got an SCT for my 06' auto GT yeah got some good gains I wouldn't say 30 horse but good gains. Everyone boasts about how "throttle response" is improved but it was super annoying for me because it seemed like a gimmick they only ramp up the accelerator vs. throttle blade opening speed. backing up, wheel spin every time. Light throttle in a parking lot constant jerking and bucking. I had to increase the idle in drive rpm to mask the issues. And running the recommended octane fuel (91) for the middle tune it has a barely noticble knock at full throttle. I DO like it but highly recommend a dyno baseline and tune asap.

I also had a bad experience with the bama sct tuner, but it was not something bama couldnt handle. I have a 2007 gt with ford racing cams, longtube headers, 3 in exhaust, udp, cmdps, cai,4.10, torque converter and a gt500 throttle body. Told them right from the start the car handled like shit and they made me do a datalog. Car runs beautiful now.

I've heard they are a lot better at 2v and 3v than the are at 4v tunes.

The bucking isnt a problem.as stated above they change the ramp rate, my stock bucking isn't a problem I'm simply saying stock, already these cars have a semi harsh throttle 'tip in' so to speak. When decelerating and then simply holding the gas lightly has a buck tendency. Not that it's bad, just that the could make it more pronounced.. It's not a problem with the car

I simply want to know (and as I stated from folks that HAVE experience on a mach) that if its worth 400 bucks. Is there a notcible seat of the pants gain? Is the data logging feature actually adequate? As in can I see my injector pulses,or wich cylinder is not firing (if it had a misfire) or if one coil isn't working as well as the others, etc

I have a mach and have been through it all with mine. Just simply buying the tuner and loading up a preloaded sct tune NO, you will not feel any gains. If you run a bama tune on it, you might see minimal gains but usually are used to fix little things like longtubes, or rear o2s or no egr.. I would not waste my money on a canned tune, Dyno tunes are where its at.

The datalogging features of the sct tuners are awesome. To see what youre car is doing, you need to download the Livewire program from sct's website and yes It will tell you anything and everything.

Machs are special lol, they have their little problems..but what mustang doesnt

Yeah I wanted it to turn my 02's off since my MIL eliminators don't work, but wanted to utilize the data log feature.

My mach is running really rich, figured the tuner would make a noticeable difference after leaning it a little since bama mostly makes their power by leaning cars out just a bit
