I am in the stage of getting my 87 notch on the road again. That being said, I want to do it all right with as much clutter avoided.

That being said, here is my plan:

Keep air pump(wish I could go electric)
Run factory hpipe
Run air pump directly to CATS
Delete thermactor stuff (don't see air going to heads necessary except during startup.

You guys see anything wrong with running AIR straight to CATS? Will it pass inspection, I just don't know if the look for THERMACTOR STUFF,I KNOW AIR PUMP,CATS, CARB AFTERMARKET PARTS.

Any insight would be appreciated, especiallsmog techs, I expect to be STAR smog after non op 8yrs

I just passed smog with my 93 and the place was pretty thorough checking everything. Checked ALL CARB numbers and smog crap. He even bent down to look for the cats.

Damn, wanted I delete solenoids, diverters, hoses and tube behind heads. Guess I have two choices... Legit or risk and hope for another alternative. At the same time, do they know to look for thermactor equipment? Clearly looking for smog pump and see if connected to something, but the nonsense behind the head? If they are a mustang fan, they would know, but hopefully not care.

You aren't going to pass visual without all smog intact and functioning.
Also the absence of the TAB and TAD solenoids will trigger a CEL

Was going to resistor the connectors, looks like make them hot swappable.
