So the dome light(the one in the middle of the roof) is supposed to turn on when the door opens & turn off when the door closes..

BUT on my car its doing the exact opposite..

It stays on when the doors close & then shuts off when the door opens..

how do i fix the issue??
**NO, I'm not going to just remove the bulb haha**

1.Remove bulb and also remove radiator cap.
2. Dip bulb in the coolant for 10 seconds
3.reinstall
4. Do a fresh oil change
5. Celebrate by visiting your local tutti frutti.
Hope this helps.

**NOTE: COOLANT MUST BE ORANGE OR ELSE IT WILL NOT WORK!

I would start out pulling out your door triggeres and testing from there. If I remember correctly they are negative polarity, which means when the door is closed they sit at 12v and when you open the door it goes to ground. You can test it with a multi meter. You can also un plug the triggers and light and test for a short in the wire. Does it do it on both doors? What about the trunk if its a hatch?

i tried pushing down the door trigger manually with my hand and its doing the same thing.. when i push it in the light turns on, and when i release it the light turns off.. I only tried the driver side though, i will try the passenger side tomorrow.. Its a coupe..
