Will rusted lower front ball joints affect the wheel alignment in any way? Would it be good to do an alignment? Or better off replacing them? [ 2014-10-03, 12:46 AM: Message edited by: SL0BRA650 ]

Where are they rusted ? If the rubber boot is torn and the joint itself is rusted then absolutely change them out. The joint should be tight with some resistance when moving them around. If there is any play it can/will affect alignment.

Thanks much! They seem to be looking good. Only rusted on the putter part where it sits with the lower control arm.

You might want to look very closely. Rust could mean the ball joint is moving around in the lower control arm. They are pressed in.
