I recently bought a tubular k member was going to run my manual rack but it appears my rack is hitting on were the motor mount plate is. Do I need a special rack for this or what?  - .  -

There is usually an aluminum spacer that goes behind the rack.

Thanks I was reading I guess I have to buy there bushings and that spacer kit, I'm thinking I'm just going to make my own [patriot]

I used a grinder to get the exact clearance I needed, but I would have loved to see if these spacers would have helped, the TeamZ K-member doesn't have this issue because they lowered the mounts for the rack

I was thinking the same thing as well just grinding it till I get enough clearance , I might try this out tommorow thanks for your input [Smile]

Making your own spacers would be fine. That k member is designed to use them. They help the Ackerman on these cars.

Tha MM spacers are adjustable for hight. You want your rack as high as it can get if your car is lowered. This helps with bumpsteer.

These little things will make your car handle and drive better. It will also help with tire wear.
