probably a crown vic motor?
the later cv's have electric throttle bodies and the intake plenum facing the wrong side. I'd also check flywheel bolt count if going into a manual car, and the oil pan shape to make sure it will drop in. All those parts can be swapped over from the old 98 engine and work fine I think.

Lots of differences, but if you switch intake manifold and oil filter adapter and timing cover and accesory drive to the early style it will be fine.
