how do you guys keep the engine from turning. i tried the put a flat head in between the balancer but that only gets you so far before the flat head keeps the balancer from going any further. also using the installer rod.
this an automatic 5.0 ...

Stick a screw driver through one of the little holes on the balancer and it should grab the lip of the oil pan.

ok so im done, i stated the car it drives smoooth, i looked at the balancer it looks like it a little wobbling but idk if im being paranoid from the event that happened with the last balancer.
should i get the install kit and see if it flushed on the crank? from what i can see i prolly have less then a cm to go until its flush but nervous that ill strip something.
what yall think? im also using the correct OEM bolt and washer from latemodleresto.com

Get the right install tool from Autozones 'free' tool rental. It should not be wobbling when looking down at the ring from the topside of the engine. Hope that made sense.
