I have a 93 5.0 and I got a odd knock a wile bak and I though I was a rod or lifter and one day I pulled the belt and the knock went a way so I look a round and though it was the ps pump Chang that and nope still there and I have a new alt and water pump and I can't fig it out any ideas ?????

smog pump..mine does it from time to time..its probably gonna freeze up soon so either replace it or bypass it..

Check crankshaft end play. Sounds crazy but it happens all the time where u take the belt off and the knock goes away because the belt load all the way out on the end of the crank will cause it to walk back n fourth in the block and make a knock

It's a new hb and t-pullie and I check the hb there no movement also I do have under drive pullies on it
