So recently I've been having a coolant issue. The car doesn't fully overheat, just gets hot. I noticed there was alot of pressure in the system when I release the valve on the radiator cap. After doing a pressure test I noticed some drips coming out from around the oil pan. After inspection, I found 2 freeze plugs had a small leak. Would this cause the 'pressure' in the radiator and also the overheating???

Next, When I give the car gas it feels like its shifting to the right. Sometimes I can even feel a clunk. The rearend literally feels like its moving to the right everytime I press the gas and then the car veers to the right. After I release the gas it then goes straight again. What is causing this?!?!?! Thanks in advance.

Your rear end sounds worn out. The bushings in the arms and such so that it's sloppy when you accelerate.

Has the car been launched hard? It shouldn't twist that bad / noticably unless you have damaged torque boxes or worn bushings.

Also, unless you're losing lots of coolant, car shouldn't overheat. Plugged radiator perhaps?

Lol I launch it hard all the time. I'm afraid it might be the torque boxes.... As far as the radiator, how would I be able to tell if its plugged?

Could also be your thermostat that's seized up and not letting coolant circulate or the water pump. But start the car and let it warm up while observing the coolant. The coolant should circulate as it gets warmer. If it doesn't, I guess start replacing what's cheap first. TStat, Water Pump, then finally radiator.

I have a friend who's car has the same problem. Runs hot but not overheating. He has the stock radiator that came with the car, but runs no thermostat and still runs hot. He had a plugged radiator.

You might also have a clog somewhere else. Your heater core bypassed? Losing coolant?

Also, if your torque boxes are bad, you'd need a bunch of repair work done and reinforcement.

Radiator can't be clogged. After doing the waterpump I flushed the radiator and it was flowing perfectly. I have the heater core looped. Only place I'm losing coolant is from the 2 freeze plugs. I pressure tested the system at 16lbs and it started coming out of 2 freeze plugs on drivers side.

You can be a cheap ass like me and pour head gasket sealer into the radiator. [patriot]

Never run a car without a t stat that defeats the purpose of the radiator

Torque boxes are gone. I bet one of the control arms are hanging with the torque box attached. I had the same problem on mine, once it starts hanging you'll see your rear end come out passed the fender on a turn. Expect to pay a lot to replace that because you can't fix the stock ones once they're that bad.

@50, I have a t stat. I wouldn't run one without it.

@neight, I was afraid of that! It just recently got bad, so I'm hoping its just a shot upper or lower control arm. I'll be taking it in to the shop soon. A buddy of mine does alot of fab work he said he can reinforce them for me.

Thanks for the feedback guys
