Found a pair of longtubes marked for a gt I go to 50resto and it seems some fit both cars some don't?
My car is a 96 cobra 5 speed
The ad says it's for a gt. I'll get a part number later but does anyone know the difference

Big difference in headers for a 2v and a 4v bolt pattern is not even the same,2v's have a circle exhaust port where as a 4v is more oval, they fit the same chassis but will not bolt to the same heads...

Yes they are different.....
Also make sure your 96 has has the upgraded cooling system.....either a big fluidyne radiator or the 97-98 rad/fan/condensor assembly...
I have bbk ceramics and they fit great

Hey foxbody may still have my fluidyn rad it is low milage. LiKe they said above 96 is plagued with overheating / running hot. I took out the entire ac system, the AC condenser in front of the radiator where left overs from the 95s. those where one of the issues with them [ 2013-12-28, 09:53 AM: Message edited by: 70stang351w ]
