I have a sorta howling sound when my car is in motion and when i turn the steering wheel left. No vibrations, just a howling. I lifted up the car and didnt see anything worn or out of the norm, besides my left front ball joint boot needs to be replaced.

I have a 2" drop spring on the front with no bumpsteer kit, i dont know if thats why its howling on the left front?

Kinda wierd. There is no howling when i steer right, only left.

I dont know, but ill check. Cant you check for bad bearings by lifting the wheel off the ground and shaking the wheel in and out, and if theres play, then the bearings bad?

Howling when you turn left usually means its the right wheel bearing that is bad, its getting more weight loaded on it during the turn. But probably both front hubs are shot. These come as assembly, hub with new studs and bearings already mounted. Don't let anyone try to see you just the bearings, if you shop around you can get the hub assemblies for $40. or so a piece. This is a pretty easy job and there are some youtube videos on how to do it. Its best to get a new nut and bearing cap also. rockauto.com has all these parts pretty cheap and if you baby it the wheel bearing will last long enough to wait for mail order parts.
