I'm stationed at Travis AFB looking for some help with my swap I own a 04 v6 and a wrecked 03 mach 1 and the engine is currently getting rebuild. I don't not wanna hear any swap the v6 for a gt or anything like that I own the v6 it was a gift from my mom and I'm not parting with it. The Mach 1 is a complete donor an I'm using everything from it that I will need and what was damaged in the wreck Im replacing. I pulled the motor myself but i rather not install it I want someone who knows what they are doing and can stand behind there work I'm really unsure about going to anybody since I'm not from here and don't know anybody. If somebody has done a v6 to gt an know something's I should look out for or any tips very appreciate it

Havent done it personally, but my wifes uncle did one for one of his customers a while back, (v6 to v8 conversion). He said that the biggest pain in the ass part was the wiring. Plus once he was done, they had to have to car towed to a Ford dealer to program the key to the computer.

Good luck.

We have a few members in your area that would probably take the job. Here's some people I can think of off the top of my head. Good luck with the project.

Its easy as hell since you have a donor. Just swap out everything from the v8 to the v6. So all the fuel lines, brake lines, wiring, dash, kmember if still good, and interior. I would start from the interior out so you can just plug up the motor and go. You shouldnt need to get anything reprogramed if you have all the computer components
