Have an 88 Mustang GT Mass Air car. Took it to the mechanic because there was some smoke coming out the exhuast and overheating. He said there is no power going to the mass air connector, causing it to run rich/lean among other things. Any Solutions I can look into? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Exactly what I was thinking, but my mechanic is claiming this is the problem. Some smoke out the exhuast maybe, but overheating has me confused. I just swapped out the headgasket and heads. I took it to him thinking I messed up somewhere. Before I swapped the heads there was bad compression in two cylinders and no overheating. Now compression test checks out at an avg of 150, and leak down test completed and all cyl ok. I'm going to do the radiator coolant test later today.
