Just bought an 88 GT with a tremec 3550 trans and ram hd clutch... It definitely sounds like there is a throw out bearing noise or something going on in there. Noise does change when i push on the clutch.. so im guessing its related to the throw out bearing and clutch setup...
Now my question... im new to mustangs. Id like to go ahead and pick up a new clutch and throwout bearing.. do i just pick up parts meant for a factory 5.0 5 speed trans?

100% sure its from the release bearing.. ordered a new release and pilot bearing. I think i might need an adjustable clutch cable.. i got under the car and it felt like the cable was pulling too hard on the release fork causing the bearing to be engaged all the time.. probably why it killed the bearing. Is there supposed to be slack in the cable or is supposed to have tension on it with the pedal not depressed??
