Don't have a whole lot of experience with IRS. And thinking about swapping in an IRS. Any input on daily driving, road coarse, drag racing likes and dislikes. Just trying to get good feedback for pros and cons of the people who have them.

Thanks,
Lucas

I'll give you road racers opinion since that's what I used to do.

IRS

pros
Smoother
Able to handle curbs better

Cons
Heavy
Not the best IRS design
Will need a cooler if driven hard
Does not get the power down well
Complicated piece of equipment

Torque arm

Pros
Light
Simple design
A lot of traction if set up right

Cons
Will induce understeer
Jacks the rear under extreme braking

Either is an improvement over the stock rear suspension. The IRS is probably better for the street, the torque arm better for the track because it is faster

Appreciate the input. I got a pretty good deal on a good IRS and think I'm gonna try it just cause.
