Hey guys i just recently put sum gt40heads on my 94 cobra but now i see smke out my tail pipes n it dnt fade away i also get a strong smell of gasoline in my oil what can i do and what timing should i run my car in since its a 306ci if anybody can help lmk and if anybody does good side jobs and can fix my pro lem of my car at a reasonable price lmk im located in hayward thanks guys HELP PLZ [patriot] [Big Grin] [worship] [dance]

uh your car came stock with gt40 heads...why would you swap them out for the same heads?

My car was bought as a roller i first had a stock 95gt motor then i bought a 306ci with no heads... [dance]

Are the heads rebuilt (valve job and new seals)? Is the 306 a fresh rebuild (new rings and/or pistons)?

Sounds like your fuel pressure regulator has a hole in the diaphragm allowing fuel to go through the vacuum hose..You should disconnect the vacuum line that goes from the fuel pressure regulator to the back of the upper intake while the car is running and check to see if you have fuel traveling through the vacuum hose and if fuel comes out you know that the regulator is your problem.The vacuum line allows fuel to travel from the regulator to the back of the upper intake manifold and into the oil..Good luck.. What intake you running?..some of the chinese made cobra intakes don't have a big enough oil baffle and suck oil thru pcv.

also timing would be no different with a 302 or 306.. its just .030 over.

My 308 had this problem like yesterday lol but it was my diaphragm had to replace that an problem solved especially if it has new rings
