how many watts was your old amp versus your new one you're using? Do you have it running from the remote terminal on the amp or spliced before the wire connects to the terminal?

try running a thicker gauge wire for the remote and then splitting into 2 seperate wires before reaching the amp.. Then run each wire to the amps seperately instead of jumping wires or splicing them.. also use a relay like fredfifty said, its worth the few extra dollars.. if u still have issues then pm me, ill go check it out.. I used to do installs at a car audio shop a couple years ago..

your deck does not have enough remote turn on power, if u split it splice it it wont matter. some deck only have enough out put to turn on one amp, and some amps take a lil more power to turn on. run your existing remote wire to a relay and run your amps off the relay like said above.
