Are the 8.8 and the 7.5 the same axels im asking because I have a 8.8 5lug rear and thought about putting in in my 4 banger but dont want to go 5lug been trying to to trade my whole five lug conversion kit for a stock rear and some ponies but guys its just not that time of year for people to take advance of a deal so I might just swap axels if possible .......... And if I changed the 4cyl auto to 2.73s in the rear would it be to high of a gear an over heat my tranny oh the street I figure I'd gain freeway mpg but street driving would be crucial on the tranny

Axles are the same between 7.5 and 8.8 and interchangeable
