So I just installed my HIDs, 55w 6k. My low beams seem to be much brighter than my highs. When I flip on my high beams, the are a more concentrated beam as opposed to my lows which are more spread out and shine farther. Is this normal?

Pretty sure the high beams in those universal HID kit utilizes a HID low beam and a standard high beam filament.

You always need to be driving around with the low beams on the high beams are only to be used in situations where you need to light up the road further away from you than the low beams can cover. Since the high's are only a temporary usage type of thing there is no need for them to be HID's. Plus as you turn HID's on you can see them heat up as they change to a more white color, if these were used for high beams they would never have time to heat up which could drastically effect the life of the bulb.
