Currently I'm running 3.27's and when I'm going through the traps at the 1/4 mile I'm in the mid to low 4k rpm range. Based on tire size calculators since I use a 26.5" tall tire I should run 3.73's to get the rpms into the mid 5k rpm range at the traps. It seems most of the threads I have read people seem to always recommend 3.55's for supercharged application.
I already have a lot of traction problems on the street now with 3.27's, so either way it will make it worse. This plus the fact that I just added aluminum heads and a holley systemax and 1.72 roller rockers.
Thoughts?

this, and get a Hoosier tire. Your traction problems will go away but you might have breaking axle problems..

3.73's with a 28" tire is pretty much like running 26.5" tires on 3.55's. Well at least as far as crunching numbers is concerned.

Im just saying 27" or 28" so you get the benefit of more sidewall.

Anyways,in my car im gonna go with 3.73's since id rather have a little too much gear and play with tire size rather than being stuck with too little gear.

I plan at some point to buy some wider wheel/tires for the back of my car, but until then I don't plan on hammering on anything. My dinky 26.5x8 slicks fit no problem as well as my 245 45 17's.
Might go to the track tomorrow just to see how much difference the heads intake, and 1.72 roller rockers made. On the street it feels about the same down low, but now in the upper rpms it really hauls! I'm running an a/t(a9p I think) computer and am starting to wonder if it has a redline? I know the factory tach's probably arent that accurate, but I've revved to 6500rpm according to the factory tach and no redline.

im assuming you meant 26 x 10.5 right ?
i wouldnt do a single gear swap, its not worth it
if you drag race more than anything else i would do 3.73's or squirt a 50 shot on the blower and keep what you got
with a single gearset bump your only splitting hairs and changing your rpm by about 250
i think 3.73 would do you good tho
