So my check engine light keeps coming on randomly my car will sputter an jerk when it happens jus installed fuel pressure regulator and a larger mass air also noticed a build up on my egr when I took it off for install on the fp regulator . How can I pull codes ? Also I'm thinking it's the egr jus lookin for a second opinion? Thx

That sputter and mil lights sounds like maf to me

When I first put it on thou for iono almost a week no issue ? And it's not constant happens intermediately also idol fluctuates iac brand new that's why I was thinkin egr?

Is this sputter at idle? Maybe egr is malfunctioning coming on at idle causing sputter

its your o2's, once they get hot they cause your car to sputter at low rpms, to be sure next time it sputters floor it and wait a sec or two an you will get all your hp back. try it an let me know.

Will that throw a check engine light thou? I have and it does cons back and it does feel like I lose horse power .. I need to check the code jos can I check it do I need the obd1 code tool?

yeah it does throw a code i forgot what number the code is but when the throttle is wide open it eliminates the o2's (same thing as not running them)id get under their check them and replace them both if not the driver side is the one that usually goes bad first.

obd-1 you dont need a reader follow these procedures,koeo/koer procedures check the codes dont guess and throw money at it.

Update jus drove to work all was good noproblems. Stoped at work turned my car off started it died instantly wont hold an idol by itself I'm sure if I drove it would thrown the mil light on?

have you done a KOER self test to actually read what code is being thrown?

so ran a koer got code, 33 evp not closeing properly.

42 system always rich right ego.
92 left ego always rich.
gotta be egr ? right?
