I'm about to order a main girdle. I've heard of girdles fitting with the stock OEM oil pans, but not sure what brand girdles would work without modifications. Has anybody ever put a girdle on with a stock pan? Take into consideration that I have a 94' 5.0 and I guess there is a difference in the sumps. Any help would be great. Thanks.

What kind of modifications did you have to make?

Damn.. that's a good link. That actually made me reconsider a girdle for my setup. Thanks for the input Lee.. looks like the long block will be going together sooner than I anticipated

I've posted that link here a few times. I could've sworn I read somewhere in a magazine many years ago that girdles were designed to prevent cap walk on 2-bolt main blocks. The thing with SBF's is, you'll split the block before cap walk becomes an issue.
