so i jacked my car up rack bushing good tie rods good rag joint good the play seeems to be inside the rack

sounds like the same problem i had. on mine the inner tie rods were worn. you cant really see where the play is because the boots on the ends of the rack are covering it.

If theres hella miles on that rack, you might as well swap it with a reman...its easier and more logical than rebuilding it yourself, imo...its like 85 bucks with your old rack...that is, if the inners are bad...

great now time to decide manuel or rebuild powersteering i drove my stang without a belt on the pump for over a year i got a hang of yanking on the wheel during parking but at speed it was good but i was happy to put on a new pump byt now this
