I want to replace all the dual springs in my pushrod motor without pulling the motor or removing the heads.
Can anyone recommend a good spring compressor tool for this job?

My heads are mounted with studs. To pull the heads, I would have to pull the motor.
I am going to try compressed air to hold the valves closed. It might take a few attempts to see what air pressure is good enough to hold the valves closed and not too much that it pushes the piston down if I'm not at exact TDC for the cylinder. Worse case, I go with packing the cylinder with some rope.
I don't have a spring compressor and looking for a quality tool that works. It's a big enough job that I don't want to fight with the tool.

Compressed air, and leave all the sparkplugs in with the rockers off. I'm not really a fan of the rope idea because will leave fibers inside the combustion chamber. Also what kind of engine, because someone might make specific tool for it.

This is the one I bought and use.
Great tool, get the adapter for 3/8 studs if you have them.
It is expensive. I would be willing to lend it to you if need be?

Thank you. I may take you up on the offer.
Tomorrow I'm going to remove the valve covers and see how much room I have to work with and double check the rocker stud diameter. I also need to see if I can adapt the compression checker hose I have to work with an air compressor or if I need to get a different hose.
