so I bought this mustang from LA for dirt cheap brought it over here and found out the motor doesn't have compression. its a 99 mustang the motor is stock other than an intake and bigger throttle body. I did compression and all cylinders have 170, but the first 3 have 0 compression. I was hoping all 4 would have 0 than it might've been the timing or something, but I'm stumped, I don't have time to pull off the head and I work in San jose 9-8pm need some tips on what could cause this. I put some oil in the cylinders over night and the next day the compression was still 0. any help is appreciated

probly bent valves, probly best fix would be to take the head off, and have a machine shop see if it's fixable, if your lucky you'll have to replace only up to four valves.

how much you think thatll run me if i take off the heads myself and assume it's good enough to get the valve job done. you don't think it could be the head gasket?

(650) 390-9367 give jeff zinola a call tell him scott from dreamspeed referred you, I can't recall what a valve job goes for on a 2 valve mustang head, and yes it could be a head gasket, but i'm thinking it's valves cause you'd at least read 10-30 psi with just a blown gasket. is there any knocking in the motor? start it and grab a long screw drive and put it against your valve cover, listen for any internal knocks or ticks.

Take the head off turn it upside down and fill each head chamber with ATF leave it over nite. if the fluid is leaking past the valves into the ports u need a valve job. those motors are stong and built to last over 200k id get a valve job and call it a daily driver dont expect to get into the high 13s in the quarter without major mods
