looking to do a swap what parts are smog legal on a fox conversion. im looking for headers and intake mainly

i dont think they make smog legal headers for a 351 swap, since they only make l/t's. i might be wrong tho.

no such things u ask for exist, sorry. but fms makes the swap headers, an they look dam stock.there shortys, fit perfect,work great, and they look like stock in appearance. the lower intake bottom is specific for the 351 winsdor all by itself, but many upper,s might bolt to the lower, like the ford lighting gt 40 fits your 351, but has the conventional gt40 middle gasket set up, so your 93 cobra, gt40 tubular, or my favorite explorer set up all fit and unless u get a dick smog guy, they all will pass. edelbrock makes a lower and then u can use there upper,s that i think are smog legal, but your r opening a can of worms cause thats sum strait forward aftermarket, trick flow has a lower then use there smog legal upper. look into it as im not sure what models they make r smog legit but i know they have them. i modified some energy poly mounts to lower the motor 3/4 of a inch, milled my lower gt40 intake a 1/4 inch and with my explorer upper with stock 5.o ho plaque factory screwed on top of it, it fits under the stock hood just fine. an no smog problems what so ever.

exactly my thoughts i have a rpm2 intake edelbrock make a lower that will bolt to it and i have a extra bbk shortys around i was think of spot welding the carb plate onto the frod swap shorties

Follow Duncan's suggestions on this swap. His 351 swaps would only be noticed by a very good "Ford" Smog Tech. The way he uses the Stock Valve Covers and Explorer upper with the 5.0 HO I.D. plate really sells it as a 5.0 engine. My 351 Vert used Ford Racing Shorty's and GT40/Lightning lower and i never had one person, not even "Mustang Guys" identify it as a 351.
