98 Cobra, There seems to be a lot of choices and then even March offers multiple ones for the same car? What do you suggest?

I put BBK U/D pulleys on and and my car went through a pair of batterys in three months. at a light the lights would dim and in the day time I would have to pop it into neutral so it would charge shit caned the U/D pulleys and my problems went away

was it a mod motor or a foxbody with a stock 65amp alternator?
