So at first my speedometer didn't jump then it started to jump out of nowhere N well now it jumps pretty bad. My speed doesn't change it's just the speedo that goes crazy. Anyone know why?

speedo cable might be going out? i think my friends camaro was doing that before the cable broke. is it making any noise?

Mine does that, I assumed it had to do with being a 93 cable and t5 plugged into a 85 speedo.... but maybe whatever is causing your problem is also causing mine since your just started doing the same thing...

It's not the cable. 99% of the time it's just the cluster. Time to change it out.

Well I do have 3.73's I think that's why I'm out of calibration but the damn speedo jumps too much it pisses me off

not sure about neighs, and dont mean to hikack the thread, but mine does that but on the other side of the speedo. It sits about 20 miles per hour faster than i am going nad bounces about 20-30 MPH as i am crusiing. so if i am doing 20, it says i am doing 40 and is bouncing between 40-60 the whole time....
again, sorry for the threadjack. i have never had a working speedo in my car cause of this issue.....

i think it was a bad magnet or something, my buddy recommended me to him who also has a mustang...he takes the cluster out pretty quick...cost me like 80 bucks if i recall

u gotta pull it out and inspect, ive seen all three things do it, the speedo, the cable, the gears in the trans.

Yeah for shure imma change out the cable kuz my car has trouble idling N I adjusted it once N it idled better. But I'll also have that guy fix ma shiet.
